Hint: Good opal is good opal and crazy opal is dust after drying in whatever medium. Or as in the other article you can seal them with the traditional Opticon method used for repairing broken stones with two part epoxy (mind you every opal is different depending where it was mined & where there and by who and how they cared for it. Tortured opals are cured ie float.)
