'It is an opal from Coober Pedy. I'm not a diamond person. I love gemstones and crystals and I've always liked unique rings,' Sam said.

Sam told her listeners: 'It's a very important time of our lives, we just recently got engaged and to celebrate we thought, let's hit the road, let's go on a 14-day road trip.' Jordie, 26, went on to describe his romantic proposal: 'We were at Uluru and we had just had brekky and were about to head back down south.'Sambo had just been delivered her coffee, and so I said, 'Hey, when would you say yes to getting married?'
Sam chimed in: 'I said, "Pretty much anytime from now".' Jordie continued: 'And so I took that as, "I'm going to do it this afternoon".'

The Australian Survivor: Blood V Water star explained how he tried to rush his soon-to-be fiancée so they could get to Coober Pedy before sunset for the big moment. '[We got there and] I set up the camera in what I thought would be the perfect position, and Sambo's come around and said, "I know exactly what you're going to do here".' Sam said she 'had no clue' what was coming until she saw Jordie setting up a camera in the back of the car with 'tears in his eyes'.
'It was beautiful. He was really shaking and couldn't sit down,' she recalled. 'I don't remember a lot of it because I was so nervous. I was trying not to cry and just trying to speak. I remember saying something along the lines of, "Baby, we love jokes but this is not one of them. This is very serious",' Jordie added.

Sam previously sparked engagement rumours when a photo of her with a ring on her wedding finger at a hens' party circulated on social media. The happy news comes after Sam moved back to Melbourne to live with Jordie. 'We have taken the next step and it's nice,' she told the Herald Sun at the time. The former Bachelorette met Jordie through her younger brother, Alex Frost, who also starred on Australian Survivor. She debuted their relationship on Instagram back in April when the pair went on a trip down the New South Wales coast.

We should be so lucky, as miners. I'm making things about as fast as I can to handle the show demands coming back after the bioweapon. 2023 is coming fast. It would only take a spitwad to knock me off the fence into retirement if finding opals was not so much fun and there is NO interferring traffic out here.

I love the fact that she chose a Coober Pedy white before a Ridge black

You wanna be disgusted.... I mean in a good way. MY friend the postmistress bar owner was gifted a stunning wire wrap by a Bonanza miner. She asked me to appraise it of course. I told her I'd take it off my neck for TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. LOL. Really do not take lesss than a thousand for it and appreciate the gift accordingly.
Its backed because they said it was thin slab and ww in 12kt GF (?) I'll ask Lana as I think her daughter wrapped it. 16t cts I think she said.
THIS is what Virgin Valley Blacks have to offer after we dry them out and slab them up to slap common Australian black crystals in the face with. It has a faint potch cloud in the lower third but appears to be brilliant red multi-color bar pattern fire which is what you get when you cut plume at 90 degrees. I should make some to, but the whole too busy digging to sell thing... I'm stuck dealing with opals at the twenty acres level not cts. Is it really MY JOB to display other crafts peoples offerings?
>chorus of opalholics saying, somebody has to do it<
(Picture to be added and Ill make its own thread)
