Mineral Subscription Service LuxeRox Expands Into Wholesale

I said I would keep an eye on this company to see how they fared, and apparently they're doing very well and are expanding into the wholesale market, so good for them. :)

Mineral Subscription Service LuxeRox Expands Into Wholesale

LuxeRox, the mineral subscription service started last year, is now offering a curated collection of mineral specimens exclusive to retailers.

"Denver—Just as they celebrate the company’s one-year anniversary, LuxeRox’s founders have announced their expansion into wholesale.

Nan Lung Palmer and Kelly Selcer Phoundoulakis launched LuxeRox last year to offer consumers a subscription-based service allowing them to create their own collection of museum-quality, palm-sized crystals and fossils.

They exhibited at the HardRock Summit in Denver last year, where the company’s specimens caught the attention of retailers who wanted to incorporate them into their store’s visual merchandising.

“We launched with a B2C model and didn’t anticipate expanding into wholesale so quickly,” Lung Palmer said.

In response to the wholesale interest, LuxeRox is now offering a line of specimens exclusively for jewelry retailers to help elevate their cases with interesting pieces, vibrant colors, and natural aesthetics, the company said.

“Our specimens create an effortless way for retailers to illustrate that close-knit relationship between roughs to fine gemstones, and their customers are purchasing LuxeRox for emotional gifting and home décor purposes,” Selcer said.

The curated collection for retailers will not be sold online to consumers.

It will feature materials like ruby-in-zoisite from Tanzania, orange spessartite garnet in matrix, and rhodochrosite from Colorado’s Sweet Home Mine.

LuxeRox also went one step further, providing retailers with color and gemstone pairing suggestions for their jewelry cases.

Wholesale packages start at $3,500 and include mineral and fossil specimens, keepsake box, velvet dust bag, and LuxeRox lucite display stand.

Retailers who opt into a turn-key package will also get access to a selection of private-label home accessories, like onyx bowls and table lamps or petrified wood coasters.

Retailers also will receive virtual training on selling and educating their customers on the specimens’ origins and spiritual properties.

Corporate gifting and private branding opportunities are available upon request.

Interested retailers can view the wholesale catalogs for the mineral offerings and home accessories here. (They will have to request access to the catalogs to be able to view.)
