Hi and Happy Easter
I'm back with new 'cutting session'
this time I'm cutting the bigger cousin of the 'last' stone I've posted which was cut on Christmas
which is kind of cool because I didn't plan this
believe me or not I bought this rough about month later but it's from the same material
- I thought I will cut 'matching set' but it's not 100% the same although very simiar and both have 2 different layers of fire
- 1 vivid green on top and 2nd multicolor pinfire - which create very cool combination
enjoy

Re: Cutting Opal Gems
I need to see more of the dry cut from here. The diggers only want to sell it wet from the dirt & not earn the price increase for gem material. I do dig out some of the good stuff when forced, but this no prices for American keeps most material off of the market & being cut at home & sold set. The convict swears he is unable to make a gem from it, yet wants to jump peoples mines and sell them. He makes the drama, I just report it. How much a ct would you be willing to pay for dry bright blacks compared to whats out there?

What a gorgeous little stone with such incredible color! I can see why you'd keep that one and set it and I hope we get to see the finished product. Once again you have cut another fabulous opal!

Re: Cutting Opal Gems
here better video of 'Tiffany Blue' Gem
I didn't have time to film the cutting process but have something 'new' which I know Pink would love to see
*this LR opal has different shades of intanse pink fire which is quite rare
>>> from a bit softer 'Persian Pink' to 'Fuchsia' and 'Shocking Pink' (*actual color names for ref)

They're fantastic OS! The Tiffany Blue is gorgeous, and I don't think I've ever seen an opal with so much pink so I'm absolutely swooning over it!! As usual you did a great job on them, and thanks so much for sharing those beauties with us and giving us such a great 'opal fix' for the day.
