Although this is a lovely combination, the design isn't my cup of tea, but it certainly is different. :)

"There were a lot of looks (and moments) that got people talking about Sunday’s Academy Awards, including the jewels.

Necklaces were major this year (earrings and bracelets were big too), with one man’s style, in particular, that I can’t stop thinking about. No, not Timothée Chalamet’s bare-chested Cartier panther (though quite notable, indeed)—instead, it’s Australian actor and 2022 best supporting actor nominee Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Never mind that he somehow pulled off a powder blue three-piece ensemble without looking like Dumb and Dumber’s Harry Dunne. He did so sparkling in diamonds to boot, down to the single Cartier High Jewelry earring in his ear.

It was the necklace, though, that caught my eye when they panned to Smit-McPhee in the audience. A whopper from Cartier, the actor wore it peeking out from under his shirt collar. And even then, it was noticeable.

This Britt’s Pick has nothing to do with that necklace, grand as it was. But it does have me thinking of compelling ways to style the piece I’m pumped to show you today.

From the wonderful Melanie Georgacopoulos, this necklace deserves its own spot on the red carpet—and it certainly deserves a décolette to shine on.

The pearls have a sculptural quality to them, thanks to the way they’re posed along the glossy collar, composed of peacock mother-of-pearl. It’s mesmerizing to watch as they descend in size, a decrescendo of multicolor nacre that’s a feast for the eyes.

This is not my first time falling under the spell of Georgacopoulos’ pearl wizardry. ... "

That won't be cheap. I like the shell colors. I imagine the pearls would work down around their side if you were dancing, unless it was counterweighted.
