Leahs' Mom always loved owls. These are the sort of one of a kind things we used to keep our eyes open for as gifts.
One flew up from between the wall & the road away from in front of us as we were walking our stuff over one morning in Tuscon to the Pueblo Inn the day her father passed away. We knew her dad had passed. He was Flathead tribe ancestry, I think. We were camped across the dry Santa Cruz R and by the time we made to Albuquerque with the RV repaired, the wake was being cleaned up by family in Rooseveldt Park. Tuscon left a bad taste in our mouth as her daughter had also left home to see the world after finishing school that trip & kept going as we went back to the Nevada desert. But I digress.
