Meteoric peridot

Some meteorites contain olivine. In some cases, there are areas of olivine/green peridot that are big enough to facet or cab. Mine is a pallasite from Lyon County, Kansas that fell in 1881:

How big is it? You'll definitely have to show us how it comes out. ;)

Peridot is my birthstone, so this is what I asked for and got for Christmas. :mrgreen:

Its about 5 carats. I had considered cabbing it, but decided that I like it the way it is (plus I don't want to experiment with grinding the mix of iron and olivine). Your faceted piece is fabulous!
