Interesting. There are quite a few other natural amorphous materials/glasses out there:

amorphous shear banding in earthquake faults and similar stress points
bituminous rocks
amorphous graphite
pyroclastic glass such as Echo Mt. stone from northern California

Echo Mt. Stone (trees buried in pyroclastic events that combusted and produced glass)
