I've been taking pics of the Mexican Opal for my website and I promised I'd post some of them so here they are. I'd like to express my gratitude to the mine owner and his family for letting me paw through the ones on display and even the ones that were in the "Secret" bag that only comes out for their fav customers. I picked a 36.40ct one out of that bag

Oh my, they're gorgeous. What's the size range of the others, and will you cut them? You're very lucky you got to pick from their private stash. You're a real charmer to pull that off.

Some I will be cutting but most of them will be sold in the rough. The sizes range from a little over one gram to one that's 82ct that I'm thinking about keeping.

As far as the miner goes, I've been dealing with him for about 13-14 years now and never have shown him anything but respect for his work, grading and quality of rough. It's amazing what people will do for you if you appreciate them
