Yikes! That 1925 tornado started just above us in Missouri, where so many tornadoes seem to hit that have devastated so many towns up there that are not too far away from us. Freaky!
Thankfully the air currents change here due to the mountains, usually causing storms to break apart and go north and south of us, and we have a mountain going up behind the house on the west side that does give us some protection so we're usually spared from the worst of it hitting here, thank God.
We have no worries about tornadoes today though. It has been snowing mostly heavily non-stop with big flakes coming down for the past 4+ hours, leaving about ½" of snow so far, and I've got over a dozen different birds on my deck pecking seeds out of the snow that drop from the feeders.
I even made a snowball, took it into the living room where Steve was sitting with his phone glued to his hand; then I said, 'snowball fight', and made like I was going to throw it at him.

If you had the time to do it, like i wont, you could participate in the National December Bird count. Ive got 2-3 inches of fresh here this morning.
