Finally got my skull stamps from Bulgaria. The details in their leather tools are far beyond the details in any other tools I've seen.

A little closer to show the details in one of the stamps.

This one didn't come out good, but you can still make out the details.

Just for the heck of it, I'll post a pic of a skull stamp by another leather tool company for comparison.

This is a skull stamp from Tandy Leather. Their tools are now made in China. Cheap die castings. You can easily see the difference between this one & the hand crafted Bulgarian stamps.

One of several new tools that arrived today. Called a head knife, it's used mainly for making straight cuts in leather, but can cut wide turns with ease, and tighter turns with practice. Head knives are razor sharp, and if not careful can easily cause a serious injury. The first pic shows it with its protective leather sheath in place.

Here's the knife without its sheath.

I'd probably hurt myself with something like that right off the bat. Just yesterday I accidentally stuck a sharp knife into the tip of my thumb. Thank God I saw what was happening and pulled my hand away fast so it's not as deep as it would have been. :?

It's very nice, but stay safe when that thing's unsheathed. :!:

Those coming from Bulgaria are expensive, but some of the nicest I've ever seen. I'll have 8 more from there arriving today.

Just thought I'd throw this in real quick. I bought this belt from a hippy couple in Spain back in 1970. Note the horse harness swivel used for a belt buckle. I'll tool a new belt for myself, as this leather is starting to dry rot.
