September is never what you want it to be. The calendar says September 1 and we grab for our sweaters only to sweat in the 90-degree heat—it’s like we never learn. But it’s this consistent performance we make year after year that cultivates a sense of anticipation and hope for a better future (in September’s case, it’s a hope for cooler weather and changing leaves), which can be applied to what we’re collectively living now—hang in there, we’ll get there. ...
