The farther I advance on the scythe, the more I think its better to create Charon instead of Grim.
Started the face today and a scythe blade. Got a scythe nearly ready, but the more I think about it the less I like the idea. The attachment is too fragile for everyday use. I think I will just go for a Styx/Urshanabi/Phlegyas or Charon the ferryman of Hades, who these days is mostly represented with robes that way. And if I ever winn the lottery, have a proper jeweler make the blade in gold.



By the end of the day, I simply miscalculated the space needed to affix the blade securely.

Actually its not that bad. There aren't many small areas to sand and polish out. So its ok. But its not done yet.
Head on it looks fine, but when the sun comes out, looking down on it, it looks like the valleys have not been polished at all, despite of them clearly being ok head on.

So still gotta figure that one out.
