"JCK has unveiled the lineup of its educational and networking events for the upcoming JCK Virtual 2020, a digital edition of its JCK Las Vegas and Luxury events. The online show, which is open to all registered attendees Aug. 11–14 with an invitation-only day for the Luxury Experience on Aug. 10, is set to feature a series of JCK Talks sessions, keynote speaker presentations, trend spotlights, webinars, networking and charity opportunities, and more.

The entirety of the event will take place on an online platform that will include interactive product and exhibitor directories searchable by product category, show neighborhood, and country, video-based appointments that can be scheduled directly within the platform, JCK Talks education programs, and networking events. While the special programs will run on an Eastern time schedule, the platform is open 24/7 for all registered attendees to use.

“What sets JCK Virtual’s education program apart from other online conferences are its robust content offerings designed to help guests strategize and navigate this uncharted year ahead,” said Kate Youngstrom, JCK and Luxury director of special events and conference, in a statement. “We created the program so guests can plan an agenda that works for their schedule. Each day there are several 30-minute content sessions where attendees will get key learnings from experts in marketing, design, digital, and more. Additionally, there are trend presentations in 10-plus categories featuring the industry’s top experts. We also have daily keynotes covering topics on consumer trends, the state of retail, and the future of responsible sourcing. There truly is something for everyone.”

The daily schedule of keynotes is as follows.

Aug. 10, 10—11 a.m.: Luxury opening keynote, “Time to Connect: Evolving Consumer Perceptions and the Unique Role of Diamonds in the New Normal,” presented by De Beers Group CEO Bruce Cleaver.

Aug. 11, 10–11 a.m.: JCK Virtual live opening keynote “Retail in 2020: Before, During & After,” presented by Bill Thorne, senior vice president, communications and public affairs, National Retail Federation.

Aug. 12, 12–1 p.m.: Keynote, “Why Responsible Businesses Win: Delivering the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in the Jewelry Industry,” presented by the Responsible Jewellery Council.

Aug. 13, 10–11 a.m.: Keynote, “2020 Industry Trends Survey,” presented by Yancy Weinrich, chief operating officer of Reed Exhibitions, and Rob Bates, news director of JCK magazine.

In addition to the daily keynote events, registered attendees and exhibitors will have access to free, 30-minute, expert-led educational sessions, as well as 10-minute trend segments led by influencers, editors, and forecasters covering the jewelry and watch industries.

JCK Talks Trends will be moderated by Victoria Gomelsky, editor-in-chief of JCK magazine, and will cover what’s new and next in the JCK and Luxury neighborhoods—Bridal, Bridge & Currents, Luxury, Design, Design at Luxury, Gemstones, Clockwork, Exchange, and First Look—in quick 10-minute segments each featuring leading market trend experts. JCK Virtual will also play host to several networking events including an Association Mix & Mingle, and Drunk Yoga and Dine In programs for Luxury attendees.

In addition, guests of JCK Virtual will have the opportunity to take part in programs that support charities and raise funds for larger initiatives, including JCK Talks session “Promoting Diversity in the Diamond Industry” presented by Dr. Benjamin Chavis and a virtual Rings of Strength event hosted by Jewelers for Children (to register for that event or to donate, click here).

JCK Virtual’s JCK Talks presented sponsor is Jewelers Mutual Group, and GIA is the sponsor of JCK Trends.
