Changing of the guard with GOES Satellites

The old GOES 14 & 15 have been turned off streaming. They are still parked and activated regularly for a short period daily. If you are tracking them on your home dish, I did not get the schedule needless to say. They are not just looking down. These instruments are watching the sun with an eagle eye now. 
"EXIS continually monitors the brightness of the sun. Every 30 seconds, EXIS will create a picture of the sun’s output in the part of the spectrum which includes X-ray and ultraviolet light -- wavelengths that are absorbed by the outermost layers of our Earth’s atmosphere and ionosphere."
The New GOES 17 product does not look like the others. Im still playing with the different products to find the one i need to watch for water at my elevation. For the solar analysis I let Ben Davison do it at Suspicious Observers with a short morning report on breaking science, scam-ience & weather, earthquakes etc. https://spaceweathernews.com/
