This is becoming a project for me, ever since my bad deal with h&p gems of florida, & their composit ruby sale to me under fraudulent conditions, Im completing the pendent containing the 3.02ct untreated ruby, the .51ct diamond, & the brazilian paraiba tourmaline, certified, in a very simple setting, 14kt yellow gold. This pendent will complete my search for a nice ruby to add to the collection, the finished item will be posted, pictured with appraisal. Sorry to gloat a little but this pendent should be a sweetie when complete & help remove the bitter taste from the florida crooks!-stevie...

Yes that turned out very nice I'd wear it proudly. Any suggestions to where to send a tourmaline to be tested for copper content and a few others? Thanks in advance.

Crazy, as i have been told for test as this use GIA or AGL, the later is known for colored stone testing as #1 of the top labs in the country for stone ID. They will charge a prem price but you know what u have without too much doubt. The test on the paraiba was done twice at my request because of an incomplete result from the 1st testing, the lab agreed to a 2nd test & confirmed as thought, but i had to scream a little to get my point across. A panel of 5 people did the testing & pooled their responses to a + confirm for me-stevie...
