Thanks Art. I've seen and taken so many bad pics of jewels I'm sure this will be very helpful to all. The video gives a nice synopsis so I'll add it to the thread. :)

though i dont think the author likes me..
i commented on his stuff on linked in..
:)

do notice that he plays with light so much
that there is no way anything he takes will actually look like that outside his camera
thats why i dont tend to do those tricks
but i still get stupendous images... with all the wrong stuff still in.
go figure

at least you can match my photos at home in terms of patterns and such
not his..
