Thanks Art. I've seen and taken so many bad pics of jewels I'm sure this will be very helpful to all. The video gives a nice synopsis so I'll add it to the thread.

thanks..
though i dont think the author likes me..
i commented on his stuff on linked in..
do notice that he plays with light so much
that there is no way anything he takes will actually look like that outside his camera
thats why i dont tend to do those tricks
but i still get stupendous images... with all the wrong stuff still in.
go figure
at least you can match my photos at home in terms of patterns and such
not his..
