Fab Fossils

Fossils are amazing to me, and I find so many great fossils here that I thought I'd share them and start a thread where everyone can post their favorite fossils. This area, though mountainous today, was at one time at the bottom of an inland sea, and these are some of what I call my fabulous fossils.

That's enough for now, but I hope you guys will add images of your favorite fossils to this thread. And remember, not all fossils are old geezers, but all old geezers are fossils.

I wonder if they had ancient inland pirates? Maybe that's why they call it Arrr-Kansas.

Funny, my step dad calls the neighbor that lives next door "fossil"....LOL

Here,s a few fossills I,ve picked up over time....from the BC area.

Here's a cool rock Steve brought home. It's got tiny crystals all over one area, and they're stained by iron oxide so they have a pinkish tint

And this one just amazes me because the tiny crystals really are PINK!

These last two may actually be crinoids; I definitely think the last one is.

Oh my, those leaf patterns are some of the best I've ever seen (I led a sheltered life. ), and I love that uhhh... trilobite? They're outstanding.

Newbie here, and a fossil in my own right. I just joined today at the urging of Jan, gingerkid.
As soon as I figure out how to post pics on this forum, I'll post some of my fossils.

Love that water bug (trilobite). Did you prep that one yourself ?
