I'm thinking pyrite in a Pectolite. I have not had any in my cases. How fast does the sun fade the color? I have lost Zaire amethysts to clear quartz in less than a month before. And we won't talk about that violet Topaz. I did get spared the malachite that turns black on the dealers advice. Bought strands of white opal beads instead. He did well LOL.

Since it's colored by copper I would be surprised if it wasn't copper flakes.

Yes it could be pure copper if it could have been pyrite. The stuff has a pure copper color look in what I have found here. It looked more gold in the pictures to me. Nice find. I'd have to go with rare and ask for more until you see someone badmouthing it or stones with it in it listed on EBAY as worth just as much as more expensive ones without it LOL. Or I should say cheap ones not mentioning it at all, but it is in the pictures. Cool find.

From what I understand it's not uncommon to have copper inclusions, nor is it desirable. BUT, I think it's cool.

Rockhounds like inclusions. Jewelry lovers don't. Just look at how many uninformed people complain about inclusions in a ruby...
