So... getting a bezel to stay straight on a ring shank is hard. lol I think I need a better third hand.
Nephrite Jade
And then this little cutie, well, when grinding out the overdose of solder from my multiple attempts, I cut through the bezel.
Opal Doublet on Ironstone backing
But I did get a couple of successful rings done.
Rhodolite Garnet
Boulder Opal

I can understand why it's hard to keep the bezel where you want on a ring shank. Is there no product that would burn off during firing that would hold it in place for you?
You're doing nice work KJ.

When was the last time you went to class? Ok, here... I'll share my favorite teacher with you: Soham Harrison
https://youtu.be/MyOV7awb8FEWatch a few of his videos and you'll up your game!
( He gives me soldering envy!
)
Actually, I suggest watching them multiple times... Once just for techniques and again for design. Another reason I have visit Australia on my bucket list, I'd enjoy meeting him in person and just having a good gab session about his designs.
Sorry haven't been back on in a while, probably won't again till November. This is my busy time now, club, scouts, scool, etc. But I wanted to send you some encouragement. Keep at it! Practice makes... something!
