I keep getting logged out

It's not doing it on my Christian forum, weird

It takes a little while before I'm logged out, and I refreshed the active topics and saw your reply and everything still looked right with my name showing, but when I went to respond, then it made me log in again to do so. :roll:

Are you sure you were on your site long enough for it to happen? :lol:

That's exactly what happens to me, when you click respond, it logs me out.

I'm emailing the provider again to ask what's going on.

I received a response from the tech, he said he is using it just fine.
Is it still happening with you guys??

I have logged into these forums http://www.opalholicsanonymous.com/phpbb and http://www.christianforum.ca/forums/index.php for half an hour. It is working fine from our end and not logging out immediately. I think the issue is caused by the cache and cookies of your browser so clear it and try to login the forums again. Also try to login in different browser. If the issue persists, please upgrade the browser or check it in other computer.

This time I knew it had logged me out, so I refreshed the Active Topics list and boom -
I was logged out, so it's not just when we hit reply.

Apparently he thinks FF, IE and Yahoo all need updating? That's a stretch. :lol:

I'm sure you have emptied the cache and cookies, so has he got any other ideas? :?:

BTW, Chris. It appears that as long as you're active on the site you stay logged in. But if you leave or sit idle for a while it logs you out.

I just received another reply from the tech, see below:

Hello,

I have increased the session_set_cookie_params and session.gc_maxlifetime to 8 hour which should fix the issue. Please clear the cache and re-log into the forums and check if it is going to fix the issue.
