Some pics of our entry s in the opal awards, none of these placed, a good friend of Michael rang to tell us how we done, were shocked the dragonfly did not do well, it was used on one of there brochures to advertise the event, no personal pictures were allowed of any of the entry's shown. .

They're wonderful and I can't believe the dragonfly wasn't a big hit. Beautiful workmanship!

Wow, if the dragonfly didn't do well, you wonder how spectacular were the winners? Or is it political too?

Surely politics is part of it. It always is. But yes, I would have expected pretty much all three to be either placed or at least be awarded a commendation.
We all know how meticulous Michael is in his process of polish.

I have to assume the owl is a single piece carved out of the layers?? Wow. That is the one that stopped me here. Oh well, Too bad ya'll didn't win, but with the field involved. ..playing is an honor in itself. You can bet the winners are getting spectacular.
