Starting your own business can be so overwhelming that some become mentally numb looking at all the steps required, and choices to be made, so much so that they never get started; never actually take that first step, and then the next.

Over the course of my life, I have had 6 businesses, 5 of which I started myself, and each having different requirements; but I've never tried a jewelry-making business, or even thought about what would be required until I read this article from Jewelry Making Daily, so I thought I would share it here for those who dream of selling their own pieces, but don't quite know where to start. It's got lots of sub-links to further information, once you have the basics down. Hope y'all find it useful. :)

Ooo a real business working all the angles instead of just a living doing that occupation. Does take care of that end of life distribution as its all documented and collated into some order. I've seen so many estates going by with half of the goods unlabled and unidentified, the show circuit constantly has "old stock" in circulation for various prices. The successful artists are actually really good at their chosen crafts to compete with the sellers just opening up boxes from China to sell out of and do well. The spectacle of a gem show keeps the trinkets moving steadily.
