Hey mick, maybe you can answer this question.

Step 1

Is your product wholly obtained or entirely produced in Australia or the United States? Examples of such a product include minerals extracted in Australia or the United States, vegetables or fruit harvested in Australia or the United States, or live animals born and raised in Australia or the United States;
OR

Is your product produced in Australia or the United States entirely from materials originating in Australia or the United States?

Let's say KJ wants to carve a Welo for the competition in Oz. Since Welos are from Africa, does the agreement apply because she carved it, or does its origin cause it to be handled differently? I would think it has to be handled differently, but the interpretation of laws has become so convoluted it's got me wondering. :?

Rough would origined in the country it was mined, so the answer to this question, for welo, would be no. If KJ finished the welo and set it into a pendant, then the description would be jewelry origined in the US, despite the welo's origin. KJ added more in value than what the rough was worth. Basically, that's it in the very simplest sense. It is way more complicated than that.

7103-10-20 is the correct code HF for Opal from Oz. If I use one, thats the one.

So its released and in transit as of yesterday. I had Lyn call the local PO as when I tried to dial it wouldn't let me. Said it can't be reached from my area. She thinks it'll probably arrive on Monday. Said as long as it arrives by the day before judging they'll count me in. Apparently there are a few that are having this problem.

My nerves are shot. lol :?

Great to hear that it seems to work out.

I'm not surprised that a few people have that problem.
It seems in every contest, people wait pretty much to the last moment to complete and submit entries.
As far as I'm aware, last year where 3 entries missing when the time for the show arrived in the Jade Symposium.
The other Australian contest in March next year is counteracting this by having a deadline in January.

Ya, I had mine slotted to arrive 10 days early. You'd think that would have been plenty of time especially since I did the research and made sure it was properly marked for customs. They had no reason to detain it at all. Ah well. Sometimes the best laid plans still go awry.

Thanks! But I wouldn't count yourself out yet. Your dragon is much more intricate than mine.
