In a pile of low grade opal I found this lil beauty! It'll be small but I should be able to cut a nice gem from this.

Good find, KJ, how big, or should I say, how small is it? It looks very promising. Do you know where it came from?

It's small. It Aussie but I'm going to guess it's Coober based upon the batch but I don't really know. There are a few larger pieces with mild broad flash throughout the bulk of the piece. I think those will make good carvings.

i'd love to see how it'l come out seeing that the colors is shows now are wounderfull . Good luck
