Have not been here in quite some time.
Had a busy summer, and over the last month, a lot of time was taken up planing for the first time ever visit of a relative from my Austrian side here in Hong Kong. and a BBQ for nearly 20 people, up at the cabin. All done now. Was nice, but way to stressful to do regularly. :icon_sunny: :dontknow: :LOLOL:

All said, I still found some time in between to tinker with some stones.

Continued to work on some breakaway from the slag received from England.....

And for our monthly challenge: I set out to make a leaf from a stone I found at one of our beaches here; still no idea what it is, but suspect it might be some type of amethrine.
Then, thought of it as rather plain, and made a Fire Agate bug and a tiger-eye frog to fill the picture.
In the picture, sanded up to 2000 grit paper (still not polished to-date)

Now, there should be more time for stones coming up.......
Thanks for looking, remain with best regards, Kurt

It's always great to see what you have for us when you pop in, Kurt, and I'm so glad to hear you pulled off the BBQ, and were able to entertain the relative. I'm sure they had a wonderful time with you and took home memories they'll never get tired to telling to others. :)

The first slag is reminiscent of a shark's tooth with its shape, which makes the patterns in it even more fun since teeth are just plain old tooth colored. That's way cool, but the leaf with the tiny frog and bug are just adorable, and adding them makes it my favorite out of this group. Thanks for showing them to us, and I look forward to seeing what you get into next. :!:

The frog and bug are wonderful, and the leaf makes a perfect perch!
