Thumbnail Mineral Specimens.
At Jan's request I'm starting a thread about Thumbnail minerals. I must warn you that I have a bunch of them. Roughly 400, plus still more miniatures and small cabinet sizes. I'll go easy on you, and only add a dozen or so at a time. Anyone with their own thumbnail minerals is invited to add to these pages.
How mine are stored. 50 per drawer. 200 per cabinet.
If anyone is interested in obtaining sets of these drawers, as of 9/11/2015 the seller no longer has them in his Ebay store, but can be purchased here.
http://www.thecollectorshowcase.com/ I must warn you, they ain't cheap, but are great for storing & protecting those little perky boxes.
Sorry folks. Some pics have been moved. I'm in the process of editing my mineral pics & arranging them all in one album on Photobucket.

Outstanding!! I really like the boxes you purchased to hold you collection, Don! Have seen pics of the boxes without the specimens, and your TN's look awesome in the boxes.
Thank you for posting your TN's!!
Gotta say that your aquamarine is gorgeous and I love the topaz from Utah!

Don, you may want to share some of your fluorescent mins on the forum. Pinkdiamond has some fluorescent mins, too.
Please post a pic of your 'Old Man' specimen.

Don't stop me now. I'm on a role. Already have a bunch more ready to post.
These pics have also been moved to a different page. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused, but I just have to get all of my mineral pics located in one album. It's too confusing for me having to dig thru all of my photobucket albums searching for minerals I haven't posted.

Outstanding. You cannot overdo it. We all simply love to drool over photos of rocks.

Those are really nice! The calcite on stibnite is fascinating! Love the formation of the crystals in your cerrusite, Don.
At one time, I think they believed byssolite needles formed the horsetail inclusions in demantoid garnet. Now, I think they say the horsetail inclusions are chrysotile? Byssolite and chrysotile are types of asbestos, I think. ? Those horsetail inclusions made Russian demantoid quite pricey.

Re: Thumbnail Mineral Specimens.
I'm going to start posting more of my minerals, 6 at a time so I can keep track of what has been posted. I don't want to have double posts of the same mineral.
As stated at the beginning of this thread, If any others wish to post their minerals here, please do so. I, and I'm sure others never tire of seeing pics of minerals.
Here's one for Jan.
