Ok, looking good r2d!

Back on OA, Marc asked me to find out about an opal he found with what we called plumes in it, that he removed from auction so it could be investigated by the ISG to determine what caused them. While I had the stone I took a few shots of it, so here is Marc's plume opal.

It was determined from the spectrum that the plumes were caused by iron deposits. This is the ISG's shot of the spectrum, and is not mine so it is NOT entered into the contest. You can see the dark absorption lines that indicate the presence of iron in the opal.
