Tennis, Everyone! These Jewels Are About to Get Even More In Demand

Post by PinkDiamond »

There are some lovely tennis styles in this one, and two of them feature colored gemstones but the majority are diamonds so for that reason as well as the fact that most tennis styles feature diamonds this is going in the Diamonds category. I favor the bracelets in this one and I don't think the earring styles are particularly good for wearing while playing tennis. ;)

"Tennis jewelry—bracelets and necklaces set with a single size of diamonds or other gemstone in a line—is such a mainstay in this industry, we could probably write about it every day and still share something new.

If you want subtle (at least, as subtle as a string of sparkling diamonds can be), tennis jewelry is the thing to reach for. I love an unconventional take on the style in earring form, a swingy sort of treasure that feels like a modern classic.

As with any classic style, the popularity of tennis necklaces and bracelets ebbs and flows. Newly charged demand may result from a renewed interest in the game in general, or tennis jewelry might become more amplified when smart designers do their work to put a new spin on it.

Right now it’s not hard to find an exciting array of tennis jewelry—many brands offer at least one or two styles, some classic, some not so much. And that’s right on time, because a certain one-named powerhouse starlet is about to popularize tennis among a new audience.

Zendaya stars as a former tennis prodigy in the new movie Challengers, and she’s been sporting tennis-inspired white fashions at the film’s premieres all over the world. But it was her custom Thom Browne gown in London that I found to be particularly momentous.

Zendaya’s influence is vast, especially with younger generations, and if her new film is half as influential as the styles she’s been showing on the red carpet, we’re in for a tennis renaissance—a tennissance.

I don’t know about you, but I could take or leave the film—my interest in tennis fashion, however, is now most certainly piqued.

If you really want to go all in on a tennis theme, plenty of brands offer racket motifs (which, thanks to the pattern on that Thom Brown dress, I can’t seem to get out of my head).

So, as they say: Tennis, anyone?
