JA to Host Series of Learning Workshops

Post by PinkDiamond »

They list multiple workshops in this article so check out each one and see if any interest you, and the price of the first workshop in Mississippi is quite reasonable when you consider it includes a breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here's their itinerary. ;)

"New York—Next month, Jewelers of America will kick off a series of workshops designed to make education more accessible to independent jewelers.

JA’s first Multifaceted Learning Workshop is scheduled to take place April 20 and 21 in Biloxi, Mississippi, in conjunction with the state conventions of Jewelers of Louisiana and the Mississippi Jewelers Association.

The event, taking place at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, will kick off with a dinner on April 20.

A one-day learning workshop will follow on April 21, featuring sessions on selling diamonds, sales training, luxury trends, social media, and artificial intelligence.

JA Director of Membership Regina Ciarleglio said the workshops are JA’s way of reaching out to the small independent jewelers who aren’t able to attend some of the industry’s larger trade shows or conferences.

“It is very important to Jewelers of America to support the state associations as well as our diverse membership across the country by bringing high-quality education and networking opportunities to existing conventions,” she said.

“We look forward to bringing together jewelers from across Mississippi, Louisiana, and beyond.”

The cost to attend the first workshop in Mississippi is $150, which includes dinner, breakfast, and lunch.

The next JA Multifaceted Learning Workshop is tentatively scheduled for July 17 in Providence, Rhode Island, in partnership with the Providence Jewelers Club and the Providence chapter of the Women’s Jewelry Association.

On Sept. 17, JA will host another workshop in Washington, D.C., ahead of its annual fly-in.

The final workshop of the year is scheduled to take place Oct. 26 or 27 in conjunction with the JA Special Delivery show in New York.

The workshops are sponsored in part by Jewelers Mutual and Synchrony.
