Congratulations on the move, mick. It looks serene and beautiful, and you were smart to move for your health. I venture to say you're going to love it there. :)

I don't see any red dot though. You've got me stumped with that one. :?:

Look at the picture, the forum cuts off the dot. I think i went to the high desert less for my health and totally for the freedom from population.

Looks like a gorgeous location. I guess, though, you need to do those 600 steps there and back each day.

Looks OK now. I see red dot.
For the time being, see how things go.
Its very quiet. All I hear are birds, wind and ocean.
It took me 10 minutes to get used to it. Peace and quiet, they are very underrated.
Ive been unpacking, such a pain, and I go to town once a week, so big trip tomorrow.
See how much I can carry this time
so living frugally until I get stocked up
mainly dogfood is needed as they eat fresh chicken etc and wont touch preserved foods.
Around me there are many rabbits, foxes, wallabys, kangaroos, wombats, echnidnas.
I havent gone out looking for them yet, I just see their scats.
Its very dark at night, I thought I had a decent spotlight, In total darkness, its not much chop.
20 min to town, 50 min to bigger town, 2 hrs from where I used to live.

Just beautiful. I used to live in walking distance of the Chesapeake Bay which is right off of the Atlantic. I loved going there at night by myself. So much peace there.

I clicked the pic like John said to do so I could see it full size, and of course I found the red dot. :)

You'll get used to the new 'sounds of silence' around you, and become so comfortable with it that going to a big city will grate on your nerves, and be such a shock to your senses that you'll want to return to the refuge and peace and quiet of your home as fast as you can if you're anything like me.

I have never been woke up by a siren, or a garbage truck, traffic or horns honking around here, and I hope and pray I never have to move back to the cacophony of city life. Congrats on making a wonderful decision to move there for your health. Who knows, you may have added 10 to 20 years to your life.

My brother loves the Chesapeake Bay. Lives in Annapolis and is still active at the Naval Academy that he graduated from. Yes he was a lifer. Must agree with them.
