Super Bowl “Almost Champions” Will Get Lab Diamonds Made From M&M’s

"Players on the winning Super Bowl team famously get a diamond-encrusted ring, and this year the losing team will receive a lab-made consolation prize, courtesy of M&M’s.
The candy maker has turned peanut butter from it peanut butter M&M’s into diamonds—as created by LifeGem, the ashes-to-diamonds company—which will be set in a 14k gold ring called “M&M’s Almost Champions Ring of Comfort,” given to the runners-up in Super Bowl LVIII.
“With this ring, M&M’s will upend the longstanding sports tradition that only the winning team walks away with a Super Bowl ring, leaving the other teams, their fans, and the entire football nation needing one thing—comfort,” an M&M’s spokesperson tells JCK.
The spokesperson declined comment on the diamonds’ caratage or quality.
