Pulitzer cuts a big one, Ginger Whisker issues

79 ct chunk of Lightning Ridge seam opal cut to make a large cabochon showing what it does as it's polished.

The black he repolished had not fallen apart even with a crack across it. I suspect dopping with either super glue or UV wont penetrate any better than pre-treatment can when it is not open to non existent. Like how Opticon had worked for that, the previous cracks are still detectable with the light from the right direction, but until it separates, it is only a feature. Now that rust never sleeps fur....is just a style of crazy. Gotta love a gemstone that fights back. At least they can go into suspended animation forever in water.

He's always a pleasure to watch, and a hoot to listen to, and you've got to love the cats everywhere. The opals are gorgeous so thanks for the opal fix today. I needed it. :D

No worries. If there was nothing to watch on.....maybe I'd cut more an make a video or ten.

great video - he is awesome
I like his settings - simple and pro - but the design of the last pendant is very good and even though it looks simple it's very hard to make it right !
kudos to the goldsmith
