Of course you can, Nili, although I haven't really cut enough to have a favorite, so I would have to choose the very first Welo I cut after being invited by Mike Kelly to try my hand at cabbing in the first contest held on our old forum, which he sponsored. He supplied an excruciatingly thin and oddly shaped piece of rough to me, and said I could even do it with nail salon tools, so I did. I ended up with a somewhat heart shape opal that has a slight downward curve to it toward the back, and I had to leave a tiny dent of base rock near one upper edge on it, because the opal was too thin to remove it, so I left the flaw, and called the opal Cindy Crawford's lips.

Oh, and to upload pics just click Attachments below a reply pane, then click Add Files, navigate to your photo and click to upload it. You'll see a green progress bar off to the right as the site resizes and uploads it, and then a prompt will appear to Place Inline, but don't click it yet. Instead, place your cursor wherever you want the pic to land, and then click Place Inline, because when the pic uploads, the cursor will move and can land anywhere, and then the pic will be in the wrong place, so place your cursor before placing it inline. ;)

I've actually had it happen where the pic landed in the middle of a word so I had to remove it, put my cursor where it belonged, and click Place Inline again.

I really like this 2.5ct Virgin Valley. Over 15 years ago and still a fine gem quality opal with bright flagstone multicolor 360 degrees.

Yup, I used a small battery operated nail tool with different attachments to cut and polish it, which was done with some cerium oxide someone very graciously sent me. :)

Nothing like getting back to basics.
