What a wonderful article you found for us, John, thanks so much for sharing it with us. I found it curious that they only mentioned the spheres as far as opal structure goes, and didn't mention the bladed structure of the hydrophane Ethiopian opals. The specimens shown are fabulous, and that fire opal in the lead pic has not only the fire flames they're known for, but green fire, and I bet a lot more in hand. It may not look like much with the potch, but it's got killer color which is rare to find in fire opals. Thanks for the feast for the eyes. :!:
