21.74 Opal

Post by Charles »

I got one of my boxes out and this is an Opal I bought about ten years ago.

As you may know I'm a coin collector and many of my gemstones are up for trade (if you have coins I'm interested in). So tell me what you have for trading material and let's chat. If you don't have coins to trade, let's talk PayPal.

That's a real beauty, Charles. I wish I had money to spend, but don't so c'est la vie. Do you know the measurements? :)

27.5mm x 22.5mm x 4.5mm (+/- a bit). Measured w/a brass mm gauge.... and thanks, you're right, it is a pretty opal!

I was going to post another today but lost the sun behind the mountain just as I was taking it out! :( I'll try to get some pics and post tomorrow. :D

Re: "money" ... What do you have to trade? I love coins, knives and swords! If you have $13.00 in any 1964 or older half dollars in fine or better condition, I'd trade you even for that. (That would be 26 - 1964 or older U.S. half dollars).

If you have 1964 or older dimes and qtrs. in fine (or better) condition, I'll trade you even for $12.00 in face value. Or, 13 silver dollars dated 1935 or older in fine (or better) condition.

Note: Some silver dollars are worth MUCH more, so to be fair to you, I'll need to see a good hi-def image (front and back) of each silver dollar.
Note 2: Do NOT clean or polish coins. It reduces their value.

Cheers,

Charles

That's a big 'un Charles! I don't have any coins to speak of, much less old ones, I have very few knives, and no swords. But if you've got some special ones I'd love to see them, and we do have a section for 'alternate' hobbies you can show them off in. :D

Lol, I keep my silver... Just because DJT is currently at the head of the game doesn't put my mind at ease that we are undervalued when it comes to the wall street spot price of silver and gold. (go back and reference that George Carlin bit that was posted in the funnies thread  )
