Do you have a rare earth magnet? If so, see if it's magnetic like the nephrite I got from Rock was. I hung the nephrite from a piece of string, and bringing the bar magnet toward the rock made it turn and move unmistakably toward the magnet. I had a video of it on the old forum but doubt that thread got moved.
