Yeah, those hosts come on around 3:00 am around here, so not the top anchors. Natural pearls of any kind are rare, so she and the similar comments on the story are way off-base. I would probably keep it because it is so unusual, even though I don't exactly collect pearls.

I mean, she's welcome to have her own personal opinion but to disparage something that could be sold for profit like that is highly unprofessional.

I can't get the video to play, but I have to agree that anyone who disparages something like this is too unprofessional to be covering the story. Hopefully she has to eat crow over it. :roll:

I think the finder will have no trouble selling it, and the $3k is a fair retail price if she didn't scratch it from chewing on it. As for the comments - well - casting pearls before… uh… shall we say the gem-ignorant.
