The Key Watches on Guy Ritchie’s ‘The Gentlemen’ TV Series

Post by PinkDiamond »

This shows us watches from Netflix's gangster series The Gentlemen, which features some mighty fine watches so even if you're not a fan of the series I think you'll enjoy seeing these beauties. I like the one in the lead pic best. ;)

"On the new Netflix gangster series The Gentlemen, created by writer-director Guy Ritchie and spun off from his 2019 same-named film starring Matthew McConaughey, fashion (chicken suits included)—and wristwatches in particular—becomes a character of its own.

The Gentlemen‘s watches serve as more than just timekeeping devices; they’re tell-alls of otherwise cryptic characters, indicating status, ego, wealth, and maybe even intention (but you can decide that for yourself).

From sleek dress watches to flashy sports models, the watches worn by men on the show speak volumes about their tastes. Eddie Horniman (played by Theo James), for instance, might opt for a simpler-looking design to seem more relatable, but his $185,000 Patek Philippe Nautilus is the most expensive of the bunch. Henry Collins (Max Beesley) would like his status to be known by going big, bold, and gold in a Rolex Daytona. (Money talks, wealth whispers perhaps?) And then, of course, there’s the gorgeous Bremont ALT1 that Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone) can use to keep track of his prison time—though he doesn’t seem necessarily eager to leave prison, especially given his bond with his beloved carrier pigeons.

Below, we take a closer look at the horological wear of a few key players in the show.
