Another fly-by-night jeweler has been arrested and this covers the scam he was operating. Let's just hope he gets what he deserves and has to make reparations as well as spend time in jail for his evildoings.
Toronto Jeweler Arrested for Not Returning Goods

"On March 27, Toronto police arrested Amin Hasmani, 67, owner of two local jewelry stores, for allegedly not returning goods consumers had dropped off for repairs and appraisals.
According to a news release from the Toronto Police Service, between August 2023 and February 2024 Hasmani operated the jewelry stores Amiza Diamond and Inaza Diamond and “also offered loan services.” Police alleged said that “when victims would return to pick up their jewelry, the store was closed” and “the accused did not return their jewelry.”
Hasmani has been charged with two counts of fraud, two counts of theft, and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
