JA Partners with eBay on New Member Benefit
Jewelers of America has partnered with eBay to offer a new member benefit for those who sell on the online auction platform.
"New York—Jewelers of America has partnered with eBay to offer a new benefit to its members.
Members will now have access to “eBay Concierge,” a service that connects JA members to a dedicated customer service team, allowing for minimal wait times.
The white-glove service designed to help sellers is currently only available to select eBay users.
The service provides support for resolving issues with a buyer, analyzing sales data, and more.
Users of the service will have 48 hours to respond to any changes eBay needs made to a listing, so that listings won’t be removed.
“We are thrilled to give our Jewelers of America members access to eBay Concierge,” said Jewelers of America Membership Director Regina Ciarleglio.
“Not only does eBay provide jewelers an additional trusted and accessible selling platform for luxury goods, but it also provides a competitive advantage in today’s digital environment by providing access to eBay’s more than 132 million buyers worldwide.”
eBay has previously collaborated with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to expand its authenticity service to its fine jewelry offerings.
The authentication service was introduced in 2020, rolling out to watches, sneakers, handbags, and trading cards, then fine jewelry in 2022.
With the help of GIA experts and gemologists, eBay will authenticate new and pre-owned fine jewelry sold for $500 and above.
GIA professionals verify the fine jewelry, authenticating the metal type, purity, and gemstone quality.
