It Sounds Like the Snoopy MoonSwatch Is Almost Here
The collab is set to get animated with a little help from the cartoon beagle, a long-time friend of the Omega brand

“I beat the Russians... I beat everybody,” the NASA mascot thinks to himself in Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts strip for that week.
Now, the popular pup is putting his astronaut suit back on – a uniform he last dug out for his Apple TV+ debut, Snoopy in Space (a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes suggests the series is well worth a watch) – as Omega and Swatch have assigned him a new moon-centric mission.

It must be said that neither Swatch nor Omega have officially confirmed that a Snoopy MoonSwatch is incoming, but all the signs are there.
The most recent sign being a pretty explicit one: a short, simple video of Snoopy carrying a birthday cake topped with two candles posted by Swatch on Instagram. Savvy Swatch follower @_ornito_ swiftly pointed out that the clip is probably tied to the 26 March, the day the Omega x Swatch alliance turns two.

Almost a month prior to this post, Charlie Brown's canine friend cropped up in a video pushed live to promote the Moonshine Gold briefcase auction (a charity project you can read up about right here). His surprise appearance excited watch buffs and hype collectors alike; it served as a reminder that the world has a lot of love for the animated beagle.

A Peanuts-themed MoonSwatch wouldn't mark the first time the cartoon character has graced a Swatch watch, nor an Omega one.
As the aforementioned watch buffs will inform you, if you let them, the former launched a line starring the entire Peanuts gang (Snoopy, Charlie, Woodstock, Lucy etc.) in late 2021.

And the latter's relationship with the comic strip-turned-television series dates back to the early aughts.

In 2003, the luxury watchmaker released a Speedmaster finished with an Astronaut Snoopy sub-dial. The timepiece – crafted to commemorate the Silver Snoopy Award that Omega received in 1970 for playing a role in getting the Apollo 13 crew home safely – was limited to 5,441 pieces to acknowledge the exact length of the mission (142 hours, 54 minutes and 41 seconds).

Two other Snoopy-adorned Omega Speedmasters eventually followed: a black and white take released in 2015 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Apollo mission, and a blue and white one that dropped five years later to observe the 50th anniversary.
If leaks and rumours are anything to go by, it's the 2020 Omega Speedmaster that will be the main source of inspiration for the first (and, perhaps, only) Snoopy x Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch.

But since leaks are rumours are only occasionally right, and 26 March is a while off, we must all, for now, exercise some patience.
As the wise Charlie Brown says in his Little Book of Wisdom, “live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon”.
When is the Snoopy MoonSwatch releasing?
Swatch's recent social media post indicates the Snoopy MoonSwatch could launch on Tuesday 26 March 2024, a date that marks two years of the Omega x Swatch collaboration.
Where is the Snoopy MoonSwatch releasing?
Like all MoonSwatches that have preceded it, the Snoopy MoonSwatch will likely exclusively release in selected Swatch stores.
Post-launch, you can expect to find the timepiece available on trusty resale marketplace, StockX.
How much will the Snoopy MoonSwatch cost?
The Snoopy MoonSwatch is expected to be priced somewhere between £250-£300, which is peanuts (!) compared to the prices of the Snoopy Omega Speedmasters.
Just to give an example, the '03 Snoopy Speedmaster is available at Selfridges for £25,000.
