Miraco’s Allumare Collection Makes White Gold Its Hero Metal

"Miraco’s new collection Allumare is brand founder Samira Baraki’s love letter to white gold, giving this metal its due for its beauty and for its affinity with diamonds and other gemstones, she says.
Deriving its name from the word illuminate—a reference to the brightness of white gold and how it plays with a diamond’s natural sparkle—Allumare is composed of thoughtfully detailed jewelry essentials, Baraki says.
“It is our first collection intentionally crafted in white gold because it’s the perfect reflective metal to harmonize with diamonds yet allow them to take center stage,” she says.
Allumare features two necklaces with interesting shapes: a diamond cylinder ($980) and a diamond two-pronged pendant ($1,200).
The nine-piece line of rings, earrings, and necklaces debuted Jan. 24, just in time for Valentine’s Day shopping. “Personally, I see Valentine’s Day as a special day because I love love,” Baraki says. “Even though you can celebrate every day, it’s nice to have a day that helps recognize the important people in your life beyond romantic love, just because. It’s also a great time to receive a piece of jewelry.”
Allumare features interesting shapes and sophisticated styling, making it fresh and ageless. The collection’s standout piece may be its two-pronged pendant necklace, which features an arch-shaped array of pavé diamonds, with larger diamonds at the top, middle, and ends of the pendant (total carat weight 0.3). It has a kind of architectural flair that feels art deco–inspired.
The collection is available exclusively on the Miraco website, priced from $750 to $1,500—a range that supports Miraco’s brand ethos to be inclusive and make fine jewelry accessible to all.
The collection also includes diamond halo stud earrings ($1,350) and this halo ring ($980), which has a pavé diamond teardrop center and diamonds along the band.
“Aside from seeing a major resurgence in white gold’s popularity, we wanted to create a collection rooted in our values,” Baraki says. “We know jewelry is an investment, but similar styles are typically sold with name-brand markups at 25 to 50% higher price points. That’s why we thought it was important to design these luxurious pieces that everyone could see themselves in.”
Baraki established Miraco in 2023, and she says the reaction to its launch collection as well as the brand’s storytelling has been positive.
“It’s been such a rewarding experience nurturing this project and seeing it come to life,” she says. “Beyond that, the overwhelming response to our designs and mission continues to surprise me in the best ways. Our approach has resonated with so many people.”
That approach includes promoting that the company was founded by a woman of color and highlighting people of diverse backgrounds in its marketing and advertising.
