This is a lovely piece but I might prefer it with rubies instead of diamonds for representing a candy cane. 8-)

"Like a giant roasted turkey, candy canes are one of those foods people profess their undying love for, yet only consume at certain times of the year.

Unlike turkey, however, this author actually enjoys candy canes, whether swiped from a festive holiday bowl or rendered in gold and diamonds and worn around one’s neck, à la Marie Lichtenberg.

The Paris-based designer recently held a press breakfast at La Mercerie in New York, and it was an early morning feast for the eyes.

The designer’s signature lockets were on display alongside her new bold letter scapulars, ingenious Magic 8 Ball, and “Dick in a Box” ring, because, why not?

It’s tough to play favorites with Lichtenberg’s jewelry, but there is something so sweet-yet-chic about her “Candy Cane,” the name she’s assigned to a simple, round, three-dimensional bar necklace set with a swirl of diamonds.

The necklace is available in 18-karat yellow gold with diamonds ($7,400 retail), or in gold with purple or blue enamel, also both with diamonds ($7,520).
