Could This Really Be a Chance to Own One of Prince’s Timepieces (Among Others)?

"Specializing in vintage and luxury timepieces for the past two decades, Connoisseur of Time has been servicing a prestigious clientele, from public figures and celebrities to Fortune 500 CEOs and even government officials. Just this year, in fact, its founder, Paul Hoyt, was named one of the top 100 influencers of the U.S. watch industry by WatchPro magazine for his work in the world of watches. Now, in collaboration with eBay, Hoyt is putting seven of his most prized acquisitions up for auction. And while the provenance of prior ownership of the pieces is not inspected or evaluated by eBay, the collection does boast an impressive lineup.
One standout piece is Prince’s Versace Medusa watch, an intricately engraved gold watch featuring the iconic Medusa head on its dial. The watch’s design perfectly captures Prince’s distinctive style, and it even includes an additional handcrafted hole in the strap, presumably to accommodate Prince’s smaller wrist.
Another incredibly personal piece included in the sale is Siegfried & Roy’s vintage Piaget with Roy’s image (wearing a tiger-print shirt no less) etched on the dial. Other notable timepieces include Steve Martin’s Fine Swiss SS Travel Watch from 1934, Greta Garbo’s Bulova Accutron desk watch from the ’60s, Kenny Rogers’ Krieger stainless steel chronograph, and more.
