Back into the game

Post by KKHK »

Holiday is over, so I'm slowly easing myself back into a sort of routine.

First up, something I collected in Austria and think might be marble.

The second is Labradorite, that was gifted to me in Austria after we narrowly missed actually meeting up. Never worked anything with clear base, so this is a completely new material to me.

Nice labradorescence in that labradorite. You did a great job on both of them. :)

Thank you.

Yes, its nice to be back into the game.

I'm not too happy with the Labradorite yet. I see crooked lines and a few spots that I could not get rid of in the pictures. At hand it looks fine, .... but......

Up next, Calcite that I bought in Salzburg and want to carve in memory of the trip

And another Labradorite with a little darker base-colour. Seeing a bird in there. Image

I always find that when I think I'm satisfied with a piece, and I look at the picture I take of it, all kinds of little imperfections suddenly pop out at me, and I have to go back and fix them again and again....lol.

Like I said, I'm never happy with it....lol.

Those are some nice pieces of rough Kurt, I'm sure you'll do great with them!

Great new carvings :!: Can't wait to see that lovely blue calcite turn into something. :)
