I had difficulty too, but when I changed the extension to .jpg, and got the file size below - I think it's 6k-whatever for the max, it finally accepted the pic I wanted. Even if your dimensions are 90x90, it also has to be below that other size number. I'm so dumb when it comes to computers I don't even know what that number is called, but when I finally got my pic down to 3, it worked. Hope that helps.

Maybe I should look into increasing the file "size" in kb, and still leave the 90x90 in tact? Lemme see.................

The restrictions are 90x90 & 6 kb. (FYI - there's a typo. It's reading as 6 KiB instead of kb)
6 is pretty limited. I don't know if most people will have the tools required to get to that size. At 90x90 my TM at 72 resolution is 8kb and most image edited tools aren't going to let people drop that.
Nope, even B&W and reducing the resolution doesnlt help...
