As we hit the midway mark of 2022, National Jeweler takes a look back at the most-read articles on its website so far this year, from celebrity engagement rings to the sanctioning of Russian diamonds to LLD Diamonds reacting to the alleged scams of the so-called Tinder Swindler.

The documentary about Simon Leviev, who posed as the son of billionaire diamantaire Lev Leviev in order to con women he met via a dating app, was a hit on Netflix, and so was our story on the reaction of Leviev parent company, LLD Diamonds.

As a couple, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck attract as much attention today as they did when they first dated in the early 2000s. But a green diamond for their second engagement? National Jeweler’s editors were intrigued and so, apparently, were readers.

Another celebrity engagement ring ranks as National Jeweler’s third most-read story of the year and if you’ve seen the ring, you know why. The Stephen Webster-designed toi et moi style with which Colson Baker (a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly) proposed to girlfriend Megan Fox is truly stunning.
