Ever seen a salp fish before?

Post by PinkDiamond »

On Creation in the 21st Century on Saturday, the guest scientist mentioned salps, and that their diet causes them to poop carbon pellets, and I'd never seen or heard of salps before so I had to find some to show you because they're unlike anything else I've ever seen before. I'll show you some pics of them, and the first part of an article on wiki that has lots of information and photos, so check them out. Have any of you ever seen one before? A salp is like a glass fish!!

I could go on and on, they're so different, but I'll just give you the link to the pics and more info on salps. Hope you're finding them as fascinating as I do. :)

I had thought they were jelly fish washed up on the beaches when i was young. Then I realized they didnt have any sting. I see them rather often beach combing in Humboldt Co.
